West Branch/Scotsburn – Helen Elizabeth Langille, 72, of Scotsburn and West Branch, Pictou County, passed away October 23, 2007, in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in North Wallace, she was a daughter of the late Murdock and Altha (Jameson) Oxley. Helen always had a keen interest in family and friends. She loved get-togethers and had great fun over the years camping at Seafoam. She also enjoyed watching curling on television. She was a member of Burns Memorial Presbyterian Church, West Branch. Surviving are son, Stanley (Wendy), Heathbell; daughter, Janice (David Miller), Millsville; grandsons, Kyle Langille, Tyler and Justin Miller; brothers: Eric (Jane), Alberta; Aubrey (Gertha), Truro; Gary (Muriel), Woodstock, Ontario; Phillip (Carolyn), Brownsville, Ontario; Gerald, Wallace; Wayne, Alberta; sisters, Shirley (Donald Tower), Riverview, New Brunswick; Kelly (Carl Morrison), Wallace; mother-in-law, Edna Langille, Willow Lodge; brother-in-law, Jack Grattan, Pictou. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Langille; brother, Arnold; sister, Lorraine Grattan; brother-in-law, Walt Jewell; sisters-in-law, Irene and Dale; father-in-law, Chester Langille; nephews, Ronnie Oxley, Glen Jewell. Visitation will be held 2-4, and 7-9 p.m. Thursday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday from West Branch United Church, with Rev. Norman Marple officiating. Burial will be in West Branch Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
