KENNY, HELEN M. At York Manor Nursing Home on December 31, 2003, Helen M. Kenny, age 88, of Fredericton, NB, passed away. Born in Barker's Point, she was a daughter of the late James and Elsie (Flowers) Kieley, wife of the late Edward Kenny (1982). Helen worked as a sales clerk at Creaghans and Towers. She was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Marysville; York Manor Auxiliary she volunteered for 18 years. She is survived by a son Charlie (Pam); granddaughters Cindy Kenny, Mary Jane Bartlett (Ralph); great grandsons Sean, Eric, and Ryan Bartlett; two sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her family being predeceased by her parents; her husband; sisters Kathleen (Dolly) Shanks, Betina (Betty) Kieley, Anne (an infant); brothers Jack, Robert and Bernie (an infant). Resting at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road with visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 12 noon from Bishop's Funeral Home Chapel with Msgr. Brian Sheehan officiating assisted by Peter Somerville, director of Pastoral Care, York Manor. Interment will be held at Sunny Bank Cemetery in the spring.
