Mrs. Mae Dewald passed away suddenly on Thursday October 2, 2008 at the age of 90 years. Mae was born April 29, 1918 in Winnipeg, MB. In 1939 she married Paul Dewald and they moved to make their home in Moose Jaw. Mae worked at various beauty salons in Moose Jaw. She was active in the Moose Jaw Legion, the Army, Navy & Airforce Veterans, the Moose Jaw Elks Lodge, and enjoyed golfing. Mae cherished her family and loved to do anything she could for them. Predeceased by her husband Paul, son Bill and daughter Carole, she is survived by her son, Barry (Sandra) - Moose Jaw, son-in-law Art Wichert - Calgary; granddaughter Kristie (Stoni); grandsons, Brad (Connie), Ryan (Sheri), and Jean Paul; great-grandson Keigan; brother Charles (Marj) Johnson; and nieces and nephews. In keeping with Mae's wishes, cremation will take place, with private family memorialization at the family plot, Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. Memorials to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 104 - 2301 Ave. C. North, Saskatoon, S7L 5Z5, or to a charity of choice, would be appreciated.
