KEITH ALLISON WHITTIE
WHITTIE, KEITH ALLISON The passing of Keith Allison Whittie, of Durham Bridge, NB, husband of Carol (Jewett) Whittie, occurred on Thursday, November 8, 2007 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB. Born on June 25, 1935, he was the son of the late Emro and Ruby (Estey) Whittie. In addition to his wife Carol, Keith is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Elliott (Rob) and Debbie Black (Sandy); step-daughters, Brenda Knowlton (Anthony) and Ann Hildebrand (Robert); step-sons, Terry Merrithew (Linda), Danny Merrithew, Mitch Merrithew (Dale) and Randy Merrithew (Linda); two grandchildren, Courtney Clark (Chris) and Coty Powell (Steve); three great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; several cousins and his horse, Ted. Keith was a Bus Driver for District #18 for over 23 years. He was also employed by Diamond Construction and the Department of Transportation as a Truck Driver. Keith was affiliated with the Nashwaak Valley Baptist Church and also attended Nashwaak Valley Pentecostal Church. He loved horses, sleigh rides, country music, listening to fiddle music, reading and telling stories. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, November 11, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2 pm with Rev. Mike Trail officiating, Rev. Clair Mullin and Mr. Hal Babcock assisting. Interment will take place in Lower Durham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
