ALLEN, ETHEL IRENE Ethel Irene Allen (Hunter) passed away on the 2nd of April, 2008 at the Brit Haven Nursing Home in Hamlet, North Carolina, USA. She was born at Hayesville, N.B. on the 31st of March 1924 to the late Vincent and Lillian (Palmer) Hunter. She was also predeceased by her husbands John D. Strouth and Willie W. Allen and her brother Roy. She is survived by one daughter Johnee Belinda (Strouth) Kincaid (Scott) of Monmouth Oregon, USA, sisters Mary Brown of Boiestown, NB, Camella Smith (Peter) of Hanwell, NB, and Bertha Hunter (Vincent) of Geary, NB, brothers Harold, Lewis, (Jean) and Vincent (Barbara) Hunter all of Astle, NB, sister-in-law Kathleen Hunter of Ludlow, NB, and several nieces and nephews. The Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham, NC, was in charge of the cremation. A memorial service will be held at the United Church in Boiestown, NB at 2 pm on Sunday the 27th of April, 2008. The Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley will officiate at the service. A reception will follow immediately after in the church hall. Burial will take place at the Astle, NB Cemetery at a later date.
