BISHOP, MARY LENA - Lena Mary Bishop of Saint John, wife of the late Allison H. Bishop, on Monday April 21, 2003 at her residence, with her family at her side. She was President of the Kindness Club for a number of years and Treasurer of the Christian Science Church in Saint John. She is survived by her loving daughters Catherine Bishop (Russ Roberts) of Ottawa and Nancy (Murray) Martinson of Mississauga, Ontario; two sisters Jean Reynolds and Elizabeth Dexter both of Fort Fairfield, Maine; one brother George Dexter of Grand Falls, NB; step grandson Olaf Roberts; her niece Ruth Sullivan of Saint John; and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. Our profound appreciation to Barb Levenshulme for her devoted care of Lena over the past four years; to Barb, Sharon, Donna, Coleen, Elaine, Cathy and Dawn for their professionalism, extraordinary teamwork, companionship, generosity and laughter in caring for Lena and the family; to Dr. Elizabeth Keyes and Dr. C. O'Brien; to Sue Ward, Lois Ozkaynak, Helen Henry and Loree Breen Bellfleur of the Extra-Mural Program; and to friends and neighbours for their many kindnesses and ready help. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Thursday April 24, 2003 at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. If desired, donations in memory of Lena may be made to the Saint John Animal Rescue League.
