STAIRS, JULIA MARGARET - The death of Julia Margaret Stairs formerly of Windsor Court occurred on Thursday, May 6th, 2004 at her home in Newcastle Creek, NB. Born in Temperancevale, NB in 1912, she was the daughter of the late Amber and Eunice (Schriver) MacElwain and wife of the late Henry John Stairs.Julia was a member of Brunswick Street Baptist Church, Women's Missionary Society (WMS), past member of (WCTU) and a life member of the Howard Douglas Chapter of the IODE, Fredericton, NB. Survived by two sons, Amber (Geraldine) and Garnet (Mary Lou) both of Fredericton, NB; two daughters, Edith Miller (Roy) of Grand Manan, NB and Joan Pead (Ted) of Newcastle Creek, NB; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and special friend, Aline Stairs of Paquetville, NB. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Henry; four children, Dana, Mavis, Joyce and John; one brother, Eric and one sister, Dorma. There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service will be held at Brunswick Street Baptist Church on Monday, May 10th, 2004 at 3:00 pm. A reception will follow the service in the church hall. Interment will be held the following day in the Fredericton Rural Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
