MERCER, LESTER EMMET - The death of Lester E. Mercer, age 64, husband of Shirley (Callaghan) Mercer, of 17 Mercer Laborde Lane (off of Southfield Road), Norton, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Thursday, February 15, 2007. Lester was the son of the late Charles and Janie (Mercer) Mercer. He is survived by his wife, and daughter, Cheynia Dawn at home; brothers, Clayton and Muriel, Lawrence and Vivian, Victor, Nelson and Heather, all of Southfield Road; sisters, Mary and Murray Tays of Passekeag, Vera and John Dunham, Havelock, Evelyn and Walter Hayes, Jeffries Corner, Patricia Grant, and Angela and Donald Murphy, Ida and Bernard Virtue, all of Southfield Road, and Shiela Nodwell and Dale Dyer, Collina; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and great nieces and nephews. Resting at his residence, 17 Mercer Laborde Lane, Norton with visiting from 2 p.m on Sunday and Monday. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday February 20, 2007, from the Norton Baptist Church. Interment will be in Riverbank Cemetery in the spring.
