MOFFITT, WILLIARD NORMAN - It is with great sadness that the family of Williard Norman Moffitt announces his death after a long period of declining health on Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at the Wauklehegan Manor, McAdam, NB. Williard was 92 years old. Williard will be loving remembered by his wife of 66 years, Greta; his son, Gordon and daughter-in-law, Mary (Thorburn) Moffitt. Williard will also be fondly remembered by his two grandsons, Dr. Matthew Moffitt (Diane) of Victoria, BC and Dr. Stephen Moffitt of Los Angeles, California; great granddaughter, Isabel Kathlene Moffitt; his sister, Edna Watson of Montreal; sister-in-law, Myrtle Moffitt of McAdam; nieces and nephews. Williard is predeceased by his brother, Paul Moffitt; his father, Frederick and his mother, Ida (Nason); step-mother, Jessie Moffitt. Williard lived all his life in McAdam where he fished the waters and hunted the woods he loved. His greatest hours were spent with Greta and his family at their cottage on Magaguadavic Lake. A Locomotive Engineer by profession and a member of the owl's club, he will be missed by all who knew his kind and giving nature. A Memorial Service in memory of Williard will take place at Rockland Baptist Church, McAdam, NB at later date. Interment will be held at a later date. Those who desire may make memorial donations in memory of Williard to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
