STURNEY, EVELYN DORIS - Evelyn Doris(Reid) Sturney of Fredericton Junction passed away peacefully at the White Rapids Manor on December 21, 2008 at the age of 91. Evelyn was born March 1, 1917 in Tracy, NB. Evelyn is survived by daughter Doreen (Terry) Pollen, Oromocto, NB, sons Edward, Mississauga, ON, Arnold, Whitby, ON, and Brian (Bea), Lawrencetown NS, sisters Lena Wirkkala, Mass., Idella Hall, Fredericton NB, Arlene Debaie, Moncton, NB and sister-in-law Lucille Reid; six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Eliza (Deyoung) and Arnold Reid, her husband Charles H. Sturney, brothers Francis and Roderick Reid, Sister-in-law Edna and daughter-in-law Jackie. She was a devoted and loving homemaker to her family. Evelyn was a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church, being their organist for nearly 60 years. She was a member of the ACW, Eastern Star Lodge #12 and the Gladstone Seniors Club. Relatives and friends are invited to Sunbury Funeral Home December 26, 2008 for visitation 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9pm. Funeral service will be from St. Andrews Anglican Church on December 27, 2008 at 11:00 am with the Bishop George Lemon officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Donation in memory of Evelyn can be made to St. Andrews Anglican Church, White Rapids Manor or a charity of your choice.
