GUPTILL, ANNA M. - passed away at her residence in North Head Grand Manan Island Wednesday April 8, 2009, she was 72. Born in Walkerton ON the daughter of the late Henry and Johanna Schnurr. Anne as she was known by her friends on Grand Manan moved to the island with her husband and worked for Connors Brothers for many years. She enjoyed being near her family which she loved so very much. Survived by her two daughters; Marianne Guthrie (Corey Flagg), and Joanne Griffin (Burrell) both of Grand Manan, one son James Guptill (Betty), ON. One sister Margaret Kleist of Walkerton, ON. Ten grand children, seven great grand children, several nieces, nephews, and her friends she made while she lived at Rotary Isle Estates. She was predeceased by her husband Charles in 1989, also her brothers; John, Bill, Clarence, Henry, and one infant brother at birth. Visiting hours will take place from Ells Funeral Home on Friday from 2 to 4, and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place from the North Head Baptist Church on Saturday April 11, 2009 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Ron Ford officiating; the interment will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery.
