Lena Stella May Berry PETITCODIAC, NB - Lena Stella May Berry of Petitcodiac, age 86, passed away Friday, January 9, 2004 at The Moncton Hospital. Born February 24, 1917 in Petitcodiac, she was a daughter of the late William and Ida E. (Douthwright) Berry. Lena was formerly employed with lawyer Douglas Rice, she retired as an administrative secretary for school district no. 16. She was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Petitcodiac, a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #41 Ladies Auxiliary. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by a special nephew and a special cousin. She was predeceased by her husband, Gorman in 1991. Visitation was held at Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac, on Sunday from 7-9pm and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral was held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 at 2:30 pm, Rev. Bill Morton officiating. The interment will be at the family cemetery in Gowland Mountain at a later date.
