Cecilia Marie Beattie 1913 - 2004 REXTON, NB - Cecilia Marie Beattie, 91, wife of the late Lester Beattie, passed away at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne, Friday, May 28, 2004 after a sudden illness. Born in St. Maurice, NB, she was the daughter of the late William Bastrache and Emilienne (Savoie) Bastrache. She attended the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton, NB. She is survived by two daughters, Florence Lanigan (Raymond), Rexton, Joyce Harding (David), Temagami, ON; one son, Wayne (Linda), Moncton; two sisters, Yvonne LeBlanc (Babe), Dieppe, Corrine Bernard (Blair), Moncton; one brother, Tilmon Bastrache (late Mary), Bouctouche; eight grandchildren, Brian (Betty), Stephen (Carmen), Pamela (Joseph), Cherly (Bruce), John (Heather), Kelly (Andy), Scott, Carie (Anthony); nine great grandchildren, Natasha, Jaret, Aimee, Sarah, Trevor, Sarah, Andrea, Makayla, Emily; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester (2000); two sisters, Alice LeBlanc, Leona Doucet; two step sisters, Dora Davis, Mary Gould; one brother, Frank Bastrache; two step brothers, Phillip Bastrache, Ambrose Bastrache. Remains are resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252) with visitation Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 2:00pm until departure for funeral. A Prayer Vigil will be held Tuesday evening at 8:30pm. The funeral Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Rexton, Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 4:00pm with Father J.B. Mallais officiating. Interment in the Parish Cemetery.
