Craig Anthony Steeves (Sarge) BLUE ISLAND, IL - Craig Anthony Steeves, 48, of Oak Lawn, IL, passed away from a heart attack at Saint Francis Hospital on Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Born in Chicago on August 2, 1958, he was the son of Mary (Clow) Steeves and the late Stanley A. Steeves (West). He was a trouble-shooter for USA truck and head trustee of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. He will be remembered for being forthright and wanting to get things done. He was a great friend to all he met, a great family man. He was proud to have been a sergeant in the U.S Marines and Air Force. He will be greatly missed by his wife Nancy (Nejedly), a loving stepfather to Jaime (Joe) Montgomery, Lisa Voight, and Julie Osborne. Loving step-grandfather (Papa Craig) to J.B and Tyler. All of the Chicago area. He also leaves his mother Mary (Clow) Steeves of Gladeside, NB; brother, Douglas (Kitty) of Gladeside; nephew, Ryan (Molly) Steeves of Moncton; Hollie (Rev. Andrew) Morse of Hillsborough, Sarah (Matthew) Sutherland of Riverview; he also leaves great niece Emily Morse; and two great nephews, Caleb Morse and Naaman Sutherland; also two aunts; Mrs Vina (Hazen) West of Riverview and Mrs. Klara (Howard) Steeves of Parkindale and many cousins in the Moncton area. Visitation was at the Lawn Funeral Home, Burbank IL, the funeral service was held January 26th, 2007 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Burbank IL, by the Rev Dr. John M. Ricky. The military interment was at Bethania Cemetery, Justice, IL. In Craig's memory donations to the Dundas Baptist Church, or of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
