Allie B. Renton STILESVILLE, NB - Allie B. Renton, 91, of Stilesville, with his loving family at his side, passed away peacefully at his residence on Saturday June 2, 2007. Born in Stilesville, he was the son of the late Alphaeus and Effie Ina (Kelly) Renton. Allie was a retired maple sugar producer, mixed farmer and former bus driver for School District #15. He was a member of Stilesville United Church, an Honorary Elder, former Church Trustee, and served his church in various other capacities in past years. Veteran of the 2nd World War, served overseas with the 10th Canadian Infantry Brigade Company, Canadian Army (1942-46), and was a member of Moncton Legion Branch #6. Besides spending time in the woods (maple syrup), he was an avid gardener, enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Toronto Maple Leafs, and more recently Ottawa Senators. Allie will be sadly missed by his wife of 68 years, Julia A. (Kelly); daughters, Peggy Renton, Moncton, Susan A. Williston (Garth), Bay du Vin; sons, Reginald (Jean), Thorsby, AB, Dale (Kim), Stilesville; grandchildren, Shelly (Ralph), Kurt, Klint (Lori), Jodie (Morris), Jamie (Andrew), Jillian, Kate and Ben; great grandchildren, Tyler, Corey, Rachel, Hanna, Joey, Branson, Raikkonen; several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Ona J. Brace (2003); granddaughter, Cindy (2004); sister, Helen; brother, Sidney. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) Wednesday 7 to 9pm. Moncton Legion #6 Memorial Service Wednesday 6:45pm. Funeral Service at Stilesville United Church Thursday June 7, 2007, 2pm. Reception following the service. Interment, Stilesville Cemetery.
