Marie Alvina Roy 1918 - 2007 Marie Alvina Roy, age 89, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Sainte-Marie de Kent, passed away at the residence after a lengthy illness, on Monday September 10, 2007. Married to the late Alyre Roy (1995), she was born on January 27th, 1918 in Sainte-Anne de Kent, to the late Zoel and the late Suzanne (Née Bastarache) Bastarache. Marie was a great Mother, Grand mother and greatly loved by all. She worked for 13 years for H. Margolin in Fitchburg, Mass, she attended Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent, and was a former member of the Sainte-Marie Golden Age Club. Marie is survived by three daughters, Ida Boucher (Paul), Florence Henrie (Ernest) both of Fitchburg, Mass, Denise Roy (Bernard) of Leominster, Mass; four sons, Paul (Doris), Léo (Maria) both of Fitchburg, Mass, Victor (Diane), Ronald (Denise) both of Leominster, Mass; three sisters, her twin Rosalie Caissie of Moncton, Emma McNeil (Tommy) of Saint-Maurice de Kent, Bella Landry of Bouctouche; one brother, Osias (Mae) of Stratford, Conn.; nineteen grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by one son, Roger (1976); one daughter, Anna; two brothers, Eric, Eddie; and one sister, Dora. Visitation will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent on Wednesday September 12th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Thursday from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 4:00 pm at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
