Donald J. Richard 1950 - 2008 Donald J. Richard, 57, of Leominster, MA and formerly of Cocagne died Saturday, January 5, 2008 in his home. Born May 16, 1950, in Cocagne, he was the son of Cécile (Gould) and the late Lionel Richard. Besides his mother Cécile (Gould) Richard of Cocagne, he leaves to mourn his two sons: Bernard J. and Marc J., both of Leominster, MA; his fiancé, Achara Arsenault; and his two brothers: Emery Richard (Hélène) of Marblehead, U.S.A. and Louis Richard (Odette) of Cocagne. He was predeceased by his wife Geneva (Gaudet) Richard, in 1990. A truck driver in Canada and the U.S., Mr. Richard was employed with Boucher Construction Co. until his passing. As a youth, he enjoyed boxing, hockey, and was also an avid Montréal Canadian, Red Sox and Patriots fan. He was a member of the Franco American Club. Visitation at Saint Pierre Slumber Room, Cocagne on Monday, from 2 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral mass will be held at 4 p.m. on Monday, January 14, 2008 at Saint Pierre R.C. Church, Cocagne. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
