Doreen A. Beaumont 1926 - 2008 Doreen A. Beaumont, wife of the late Archie E. Beaumont, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away suddenly on Saturday, December 20, 2008 with her family by her side. Born in Blackville, N.B. she was the daughter of Charles and Maude (Gillespie) Campbell. Mom graduated from Normal School in Fredericton, N.B. She moved to Edgett's Landing to teach in the Edgett's Landing School where she met and married Archie. Mom's first love was her family. She enjoyed sipping tea, sitting in her rocker, chatting and laughing with anyone who dropped in. She spent many hours quilting, resulting in numerous ribbons from the Albert County Fair, and giving the family beautiful heirlooms with which to remember her by. Mom enjoyed time gardening, birdwatching, reading, shopping and travelling. She was a faithful member of the Valley Baptist Church and the Women's Missionary Society. Left with fond memories are her children, Carol Shannon (Danny), Anna Terris (Jim), Marion Stevens (Garry), Mark (Linda), Donna Reid (Jim), Paul (Pat) of Moosomin, Saskatchewan and son-in-law Gerry Morrissey; her 18 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Joyce Beaumont and Joyce Campbell and by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Archie, her youngest daughter, Kathy Morrissey, son-in-law, Garry Weir, sister, Annie Curtis, brothers, Malcolm, Alec and Marven Campbell. Doreen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, December 26th from 4 to 8pm. The funeral service will be held at the Valley Baptist Church on Saturday, December 27th, 2008 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jim Alley officiating. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends for further fellowship and sharing of memories and for refreshments at the Church Fellowship Center. Interment will be held in the Beaumont Family Cemetery, Edgett's Landing. At the request of the family, memorial donations to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
