Passed peacefully away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, Eva Monk of Clarenville, (formerly of Monkstown), age 92 years. Predeceased by grandchildren: Florence, Roy, Randy, Janet, sisters: Isabella Hefferen, Elizabeth Churchill, brother Arthur Collins. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband George of 75 years, daughter Alvina Easton (Charlie), Elsie Monk (Arch), Kay Monk (Bill), Myrtle Snook (Ted), son Joe (Edwina); she cared for nephew Ernest (Nellie) Collins and cousin Kirby (Susie) Butler, twenty-one grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 2 PM from the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarenville with interment at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville. In her memory donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundlanad and Labrador.
