DARRAH, George William
George William Darrah passed away suddenly at his family home in Chipman on March 31st, 2010 at the age of 56. George is survived by his mother Alice, daughter Jessica Sas (Henk), son Jason, sister Rowena (Allison) Chase, granddaughter Kandace Cormier, Niece Amanda (Jay) Earle, several uncles, aunts and cousins, as well as his good friend Rita Madore. George was predeceased by his father Otis Darrah in 2002.
George lived most of his life in Chipman only leaving in his earlier years for a few trips to work in British Columbia. He often made the claim to being "the oldest hippie in Chipman". George often went by the name of "Big Daddy" and had many friends in his life. Resting at Chipman Funeral Home until Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 when funeral service will be held at the Second Chipman United Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. David Egers officiating. Visitation is Tuesday, April 6th, 2010, 7-9 pm. Interment in the Second Chipman United Baptist Church.
