(November 4, 1924 - August 23, 2008) Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Saturday, August 23, 2008, George Hazeltine of Brigus, aged 83 years. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas & Eliza (nee King) Hazeltine, sister, Marion Dawe, brother, Roy, brothers in law, Bill Dawe & Ralph Skinner, sister in law, Daisy Hazeltine. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Lillian Breaker, sisters, Evelyn Skinner, Eva Adams (Graham) ,brother, Melvin, sister-in-law, Mary Hazeltine. Mourning his loss, also are his extended family Mary (Reg Smallwood), Jack Breaker (Hilda), Patricia (David Haines), Muriel (Jerome Walsh), Linda (Wayne Russell), George Breaker (Karen) their children and grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and newphews. Resting at Broughton's Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 1 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, August 26, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Funeral to take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the Brigus United Church with interment to follow in the United Church Cemetery, Brigus.
