MERRIAM, FAYE L. – 68, of New Salem, Cumberland County passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 4, 2009 at home. Born in Advocate Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Mildred (Bennett) McDougall. She is survived by her companion, George Wheaton; a sister, Margaret Kernighan (Lindsey), Hilden; a brother, Lesmere McDougall (Marcia), New Salem; nieces, Laura Lee Spicer (Norman), Apple River; Natalie Poole (Chris), Lantz. She was predeceased by her husband, David; a son, Mark. Visitation 1-2 p.m. Wednesday [April 8, 2009] at the Advocate United Church, where funeral service will follow at 2 p.m., Rev.
