Ann Maureen O’Regan

Ann Maureen O’Regan, 61, passed away peacefully after a brief illness, surrounded by her family on April 8, 2009, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII.
Born on January 15, 1948, in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of Olive (Dauphinee) McNeil, New Waterford and the late Harold Roy McNeil. She moved to Boston, Mass. with her family at the age of five, returning to Dominion after marrying her husband Joe in 1973. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and loving nanny to her two grandchildren that were her world.
She was a one-time member of the Immaculate Conception CWL and church choir. An avid reader, you would never find her without a book close at hand. Friendly and generous, she was always willing to start a conversation with anyone wanting to chat.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Joseph O’Regan; her daughter, Lisa (Jean-Yves) Deveau, Middle Sackville; grandchildren, Logan and Jenna; her sisters, Isabelle (Fred) O’Regan, Massachusetts; Anita (Raymond) Morrison, New Waterford and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Northwood Homecare workers for the years of service and to the ICU staff for all their support.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Dominion.
Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
