It is with sadness that we, the family announce the peaceful passing of Franklyn 'Frankie' MacDonald, on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Frankie was born in North Sydney, May 11, 1952.
Frankie was an avid reader. She was known to be an advocate for those less fortunate than herself.
Frankie will always be remembered for having a "Big Heart". She will be sadly missed by her family and friends, especially for her good sense of humour.
Funeral service for the late Franklyn 'Frankie' MacDonald will be celebrated at the New Dawn Guest Home, 50 Military Rd., Sydney at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 with Sr. Catherine Morris officiating.
A private family interment will take place at a later date.
Donations in Frankie's memory may be made to the New Dawn Guest Home or charity of one's choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of the Pier Community Funeral Home.
