Murdock passed away peacefully and quietly on May 25, 2009, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born in Fredericton on June 27, 1931, he was the son of the late Peter and Maria (Gamester) Buchanan. Survived by his children, Ronnie (Darlene) Buchanan, Moncton, N.B.; Susan (Bruce) Simpson, Bayview and Morgan (Sandra) Buchanan of Breadalbane. Loving grandfather of Becky, Mandy and Ben Buchanan of Moncton, Sarah and Ryan Simpson of Bayview, Mariah and Jack Buchanan of Breadalbane. Remembered by Dorothy and her daughters, Sandra and Jean and their families. Also remembered by Velda and her sons, Allan and Wayne and daughter Wendy and their families. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary (Roy) Smith, South Granville; Mae (late Herb) Ward of North Granville, and brothers Eric (Elizabeth) Buchanan, South Granville and Stirling (Eileen) Buchanan of Port Hood, Cape Breton. Caring uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Sandy, his children’s mother, Elise, sisters Georgie (Gerald) Smith, Margaret Buchanan, and brother Stanley (June) Buchanan. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home. Please note the change in the location and time of the funeral service, which will now be held on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Central Trinity United Church, Breadalbane.
