It is with great sadness that the family of Una Saunders announces her death at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Friday, September 24th, 2010 at the age of 79. Born in Table Bay, NL, on December 24th, 1930, she was the wife of Donald Saunders of Burton, NB. In addition to her husband, Donald, Una leaves behind her son, Edward (Vernice); grandchildren, Andy, Una, Batten, Edward, Eddie and Donny; great grand children and brothers, Henry (Emily) and Peter (Mariam) Davis. Una was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Margaret (Williams) Davis; son, Donald; daughter, Margaret, brother; Francis, and infant daughter, Isabella.
There will be no visitation by request. A funeral service will be held at Pine Grove United Church, Burton, on October 2nd, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Bob McDowell officiating. Interment will take place in Labrador at a later date. For those who wish, donations in Una's memory can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
