It is with great sadness that the family of Jim Blinn announce his passing at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Saturday, December 18th, 2010 at the age of 83. Born in Plympton, NS on December 18th, 1927 he was the husband of Connie Blinn. Jim leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Connie; son, James (Judy) Blinn; daughters, Susan (Gary) Gallant, Helen Read, Donna (David) Chiasson, Marilyn (Mike) Scott and Lori (Timmy) Scott; brothers, Nelson and Fred, both of Plympton, NS; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Dennis and Eva (Doucette) Blinn; his infant son, Robert; nine brothers; one sister; daughter-in-law, Beverley (Chappelle) Blinn and son-in-law, Dennis Read.
Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home, 108 Winnebago St., on Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 22nd at 11 am from the funeral home chapel with Fr. Ken Weir officiating. Interment will take place in the spring.
