The Rev. Canon Murray Randell, age 80 years, passed away peacefully at Saint Luke's Homes on Monday, May 29, 2017. Leaving to celebrate his life, his loving wife Joan; daughter Denise (Dale) Skanes; sons Chris (Alison) and John (Sabah); seven wonderful grandchildren: Claire, Maria and Maeve Skanes, Jack, Noah, Drew and Liv Randell; brother Sterling (Muriel); sister Pearl Sharpe; sisters-in-law: Judi (Adrian) Smith, Lou Randell and Minnie Randell; brother-in-law Paul (Carolyn) Morgan; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by his parents William and Deborah (Fry) and eleven siblings: Chesley, Whitfield, Madeline, Betty, Herbert, Lindsey, Douglas, Eunice, Clarence, Margaret and Willis. We extend our sincere appreciation to the family and friends who have shown love and support throughout this journey. Also, to the staff at Saint Luke's Homes, thank you for the exceptional care you provided throughout his stay. Visitation will take place from Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, May 30, from 7-9pm and Wednesday, May 31, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at Church of the Ascension, Mount Pearl, on Thursday, June 1 at 2pm. As an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory, in lieu of flowers, can be made to the Alzheimer Society of NL or Saint Luke's Homes.
