Passed peacefully away at his residence on Tuesday, July 4, 2017, Bruce Butler age 84 years, formerly of Bonavista. Predeceased by his parents: Harold and Sarah Butler; sister Joan Sandling; brothers: Harry Butler and Doug Butler. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Gloria (nee Gosse); children: Marilyn Butler (Paul Williams), Doreen Butler, Sandy Tucker (Mac) and Derrick Butler (Beverley Lane); grandchildren: Steven Robson (Deanna Hatt), Nicole Robson (Jason Tyler), Brad Tucker (Cheryl), Sarah Tucker (Francis Mercer) and D.J. Butler; great grandchildren: Konner Robson, Sierra Robson and Chase Mercer; brothers and sisters: Gord Butler (Margaret), Shirley Little (Doug), Howard Butler (Joy) and Margaret Butler (Percy); also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 and then 2-5 pm on Thursday, July 6, 2017. Cremation to follow. Funeral service to be held from Barrett's Mount Pearl Chapel on Friday, July 7, 2017 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at The Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
