BORDEN, Marjorie Annetta - 87, of Lower Canard, Kings County, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in New Minas, Kings County, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lillian (Turner) Bishop. Marjorie graduated from KCA, Kentville, Provincial Normal School, Truro and Acadia University (Bachelor of Home Economics 1948), Wolfville. She taught school in various communities in Nova Scotia. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, James Emerson Borden; daughter, Carolyn (Garry) Livingstone and grandson Matthew, Ottawa; daughter, Eleanor (Leland) Crowell and grandsons, Scott and Andrew, Bedford. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held 7 – 9 pm Monday, April 11 at the White Family Funeral Home, 100 Cornwallis Street, Kentville. A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 12 at 2 pm, at the White Family Funeral Home, 100 Cornwallis Street, Kentville, Reverend Elizabeth Johnson officiating. A reception followed. A private family burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of your choice.
