Bower, Faye Shirley, 79, of Lower South River, Antigonish Co, passed away peacefully November 2, 2017 in St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish.

Born in Sable River, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Katherine (Wilson) Giffin.

Faye was a very kind and gentle person and special to her family. She enjoyed travelling with their 5th wheel and loved NASCAR. She and John wintered in Florida for many years.

She is survived by husband, John, of 61 years; daughter Ruby (Kim) Mills, Edmonton, Verna (Michael) McCullough, Halifax; son Derek (Lola) Bower, Lower South River; grandchildren Katie, Randi, Danny, Alex; great grandchildren, Hayden, Emma, Kali, Leo; sister-in-law Alice Verge, Summerville; brother-in-law Harley (Carol), Peterborough, ON.

Predeceased by brother Stanley Wilson Giffin.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Martha’s Hospital and the surrounding neighbours in the park at this difficult time.
