CROSBY, Letha Mary - 100, of Tidal View Manor in Yarmouth, formerly of South Ohio, Yarmouth Co., passed away April 21, 2011 in the Manor. Born in Yarmouth on February 19, 1911, she was a daughter of the late Mondie and Addie (Robicheau) Hubbard. Letha was a member of the Women's Institute. She was a former employee of Cosmo's Cotton Mill and Minard's Bakery. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters, Sylvia Finlay, Yarmouth; Ida (Bill) Dundas, Wellington, Yarmouth Co.; Helen Rafuse, Cedar Lake; Muriel (Mike) Ferguson, Short Beach; sons, Irving, Hebron; Leroy (Robyn), Cowichan, B.C.; 25 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 15 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, George Lee; sons, James Lee and Frederick John; brothers, John Lawrence, Melbourne, Douglas, Nelson, Donald, Harry and Leslie; sisters, Lillian Scoville, Frances Wallace, Olive Meakin, Irene Nickerson and Celia and Louise in infancy; grandson, William Finlay Jr.; son-in-law, William Finlay. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Monday, April 25 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held Tuesday, April 26 at 2 p.m. from Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Mike Cannell officiated. Interment followed in Hillside Cemetery. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Hillside Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
