It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorne Oake announce his passing on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 72nd year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Geraldine; children: Garry (Leona), Shelle (Warren) Wells, Kerri (Chris) Oake and Graham Oake; seven grandchildren: Lorne, Emma-Lee, Jordan, Colton, Alisha, Matthew and Cobain; siblings: Grace Garland, Eleanor (Doug) Tustin, Melina Grealey, Sue Petten, Gayle Cartwright, Irma (Milton) Caines, Ina Conrade, Russell (Jean), Guy (Bev), Peter (Lorne); sisters-in-law Connie Oake and Mildred Oake and brother-in-law Bob Carroll. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Hariet, siblings Nellie, Roland (Oss) and Sidney. Visitation will take place from Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel, 63 Northmain Street, Deer Lake on Thursday 7-9 pm and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will take place on Saturday at 1 pm from Emmanuel Pentecostal Church with Pastor White officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot in Cormack.
