The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, May 4, 2011, of Mr. Johnnie Reid of Charlottetown, in his 85th year.
Beloved husband of Judy (nee MacDonald) Reid, and dear father of Aliceanne (Derek) Doyle and John Farris Reid. He will also be lovingly remembered by four grandchildren Reid and Bella Doyle, Jordan and John Reid, sisters Selima Kassouff and Betty MacLean, nephew Frankie Reid, and niece Melissa Donovan. Special Poppa John to Jackson and Jayden.
He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Alice (nee Mamye) Reid, sister Sadie, brothers George and Clarence "Soggy" Reid.
Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday morning from St. Peter’s Cathedral at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery, Charlottetown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Johnnie’s memory may be made to St. Peter’s Cathedral or St. Peter’s Anglican Cemetery Fund.
