At age 94, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2009, at Amica Swan Lake in Markham, Ontario.
Dody was born in Charlottetown, P.E.I., on July 10, 1915, and was the daughter of the late Honourable T.W.L. Prowse (former Lieutenant Governor of P.E.I.) and Annie Prowse.
Dody will be sadly missed by her husband of 68 years, Dr. Jack Denne; daughter, Gaye Hemphill Murray (Ron); son, Tom Den (Maureen); grandchildren, Trish Baird (John), Donald and Diane Den; great-grandson, Jaden Robert Baird; sister, Marney Macleod; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Dr. Lemuel Prowse; and sister, Fairlie Ernst.
Dody graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Toronto in 1940, and retired from her 30-plus years medical practice in the Toronto Beach District in 1975.
