FROTTEN, A. Emelinne – age 91, Nakile Home for Special Care, Argyle, formerly of Amirault’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 with her family at her side. Born November 3, 1926 in Amirault’s Hill, she was a daughter of the late Eugene and Emelie “Millie” (Muise) Meuse. Emelinne was a dedicated caregiver to many children, she was also a homemaker and an impeccable housekeeper. Before moving to Nakile (where she was known to be a social butterfly), she enjoyed playing cards, line dancing, getting together with the SAR New Horizons and taking part in bus tours to Ste-Anne-de-Beaupré. But anyone who knew Emelinne will remember that her one true passion was bingo. She was also very musical; she loved singing, dancing and entertaining and her favourite song was Somewhere My Love. Mom was the true meaning of love and we will all miss her dearly. Emelinne is survived by her loving children, Edwin (Judy) Frotten, Amelia (Ralph) Jacquard, Aldrick (Ruby) Frotten, all of Amirault’s Hill and Carmella (Stephen) Cosman, East Kemptville, as well as by grandchildren, Michelle, Melissa, Craig, Warren, Mitchell, Allan, Grace, Christopher and Colin, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by her sister, Adelta Moulaison, Nakile Home for Special Care. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, J. Levi “Chippy” Frotten; sons, Weldon in infancy and Bradford Frotten; brothers Daniel, Eugene “Gene” and Benedict Meuse; sisters, Isabelle Bourque, Juliette Doucet, Angeline Amirault, Celina Surette and Olivette Sudsbury. In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth and there was no visitation by request. A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Friday, January 19 from Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at Nakile Home for Special Care for the wonderful care, compassion and dignity they showed Emelinne and her family during her stay there.
