At the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, with her loving family by her side, of Jeanette Mary Handrahan, beloved wife of the late Ralph Handrahan, formerly of Peterville, age 79 years. Born on November 18, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Denise (nee Gallant) Gallant. Loving mother to Linda (Claude) Cormier of Waterford; Brenda Handrahan (Bev Reed) of Fredericton, N.B.; Irma (Leo) Chaisson of St. Louis; Bessie Perry (Dave Boates) of Nail Pond; Wanda Handrahan of Peterville; Ralph Jr. of Tignish; Donna Handrahan (Chris) of Fredericton, N.B.; Marlene Gavin of Tignish; Sheila (Rodney) Dugay of Palmer Road; Allan (Elaine) of Tignish; and Jean Handrahan (David Gibbs) of Charlottetown. She will be sadly missed by her 17 grandchildren and by her 15 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Phyllis, Delima, Elmira, Alma, Jerry, Eloi, Jude. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home & Chapel, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday 2 to 4 for immediate family and 7 to 9 p.m. for the public. Funeral Tuesday morning from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant celebrant. Interment later in the Church cemetery.
