A. Paulette McCully, 71, of Ward’s Brook passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family, and into the awaiting loving arms of her husband, Lindsay. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Ethel (Lingard) Crossman. Paulette worked at various nursing homes and restaurants, including the Shulie Correctional Facility. She furthered her career working for 20 years as the mail carrier along the Parrsboro Shore with Canada Post. She had a love of cooking, sewing, and a new found love for gardening, along with the love of her hummingbirds and cardinals. She is survived by daughters, Stephanie Duguay (Dwayne), Acton, Ont., and their children, Erika (Shawn) and Ryan; Veronica Warren (Byron), Port Greville, and their children, B.J. and Nic; Samantha McCrindle (Kevin), Parrsboro, and their children, Tori and Grayson (aka Jason); a son, Lindsay, Jr. (Karen), Advocate Harbour, and their daughter, Chloe; great-grandsons, Carter and Colton, both of Milton, Ont.; a sister, Lavina “Viney” DeWitt (William); a brother, Herbie; numerous sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Lindsay H.C. McCully, Sr. in 2016; sisters, Larena, Muriel, Hilda, Evelyn, Myrna, Elaine; brothers, Lindsey, Cecil, Peter; several sister and brother-in-laws; nephews, Danny, Kevin. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Port Greville Baptist Church, Pastor Doug Lake officiating. Burial in the River Bank Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Port Greville Baptist Church. Memorial donations may be made to VON Cumberland. Arrangements entrusted to Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro.
