NEWELL, Carol Anne – age 53 of Port Maitland. With heavy hearts we have to announce the passing of Carol, on August 4th, 2018, surrounded by her loved ones. Born February 5th, 1965, she was the daughter of Vivian Sollows (Casey) and the late Irvin Sollows. She is survived by her husband, Wayne; son, Brent; daughter, Hannah (Logan Moulaison), all of Port Maitland; sister, Cathy (Ian) McNicol; nephews, Trevin (Monique), Calvin (Meagan), Brandon; niece, Cara; and great niece, Maiva. Aside from her father, Carol is predeceased by her aunt, Susan Casey, and her mother-in-law, Doris Newell. She was a member of the Bay View Baptist Church, and worked at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for 28 years. She loved her family, God, and the beach. She loved everything to do with the outdoors, especially the sun when it would shine, and gardening. She loved sitting around campfires on summer nights with her husband, had a close special bond with her son, and was best friends with her daughter. No flowers please. We would like to also thank VON, EHS, and Dr. Mark Riley for everything they have done. Cremation has taken place. Rev. Joyce Trask officiated the service at Bay View Baptist Church on August 11th, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the SPCA, or to a charity of choice.
