Passed peacefully away on Friday, October 5th at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, NL, Donald Tarrant. Predeceased by his father John (1977), mother Daphne (2015), and brother John (2010). Leaving to mourn his loving wife Sandra Clarke, brothers Les (Pauline), Gary (Cathy) and sister Barbara (Marvin Derksen), sisters-in-law Lois (Huba) Nagy and Paula Clarke (Eduardo Giuffrida); nephews Peter Tarrant (Juanita Hennessey), David Tarrant (Marissa Steiner), Nathan Tarrant, Philip Tarrant (Claire Moore-Gibbons), Kevin (Jenn) Derksen, Stephen (Rebecca) Derksen, Alan Derksen, Timothy (Liz) Nagy, Philip (Allison) Nagy; nieces Melissa Tarrant and Rachel Tarrant. Don was a noted engineer, author, historian, collector, composer, and genealogist whose life touched and influenced many people. The family would like to thank the many doctors and nurses at the HSC Special Care Unit and at 4-West St. Clare’s who attended Don. The care of Dr. Bharati Reddy is especially appreciated. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Tuesday, October 9 at Barrett’s Funeral Home on Hamilton Avenue followed by a time of remembrance in the chapel.
