With sadness, we, the family of Alberta (Wells) MacLean, regret to announce her passing on Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born September 4, 1959, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Hazel (Hardy) Wells.
For many years, Alberta worked as a crossing guard for Mira Road School, as well as a clerk at the Needs store on Mira Road.
She is survived by her son, Bradley (Tammy), Winnipeg; grandson, William; sister, Darlene (Leo) Campbell, Sydney; brother, Alonzo “Lonnie”, Edwardsville; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ann Wells, Edmonton and Barbara Wells, Sydney; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mary Wells; brothers, Steve and John; and sisters-in-law, Sandra and Shirley.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Sunday, March 17 at 2 p.m., with Mr. Gary Grant officiating. Interment will take place in Hardwood Hill Cemetery at a later date.
