FITZGERALD, Joseph “Jr” Edgar (June Bug) – age 59, of Comeau’s Hill, Yarmouth Co., passed away unexpectedly on March 18, 2019 in Yarmouth County. Born on December 6, 1959 in Yarmouth he was a son to Mary L (Duffy) Fitzgerald and the late George E. Fitzgerald. Jr. was a loving husband and father and friend to many. He was a lobster fisherman and owned his own painting business called “Juniors Painting”. An avid sportsman Jr. loved the Toronto Blue Jays and Montreal Canadiens. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had the personality to match. Jr. loved to have a good time and making people laugh. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Sandra (Muise) Fitzgerald; daughter, Jessica (Aaron), Pleasant Lake, son Julian (Jody), Pleasant Valley; brother, Larry (Ruth), Comeau’s Hill; sisters, Geraldine (Bobby) Corporon, Joyce (David) Adams, Shag Harbour; and one expected grandchild. Besides his father, Jr. was predeceased by his brother, Henry and sister, Ann Fitzgerald. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth. Visitation was held Saturday, March 23, 2019 from 6-9 P.M. in Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of his life was held Sunday, March 24, 2019 at 2 P.M. from Sweeny’s Funeral Home Chapel, Clinton Saulnier officiated. Interment took place Monday, March 25, 2019 in Comeau’s Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to the J-Strong fund as Jr. wanted every kid to have the opportunity to play sports.
