THIBEAU, Marina Beatrice – age 83, The Meadows Home for Special Care, Yarmouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born July 28, 1935 in Cartwright, Labrador, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Jemima (Brown) Learning. Marina was a retired homecare worker. She is survived by her children, Lois (Thibeau) LeBlanc, Nelson Thibeau, Ada (Thibeau) Sargent, Robin Thibeau and Rodney Thibeau, as well as by grandchildren, David, Matthew, Jonathan, Jody, Michael, Dennis, Mark, Roland, Joseph, Marina, Alison, Lisa, Wilfred and Arthur; ten great grandchildren and a great-great grandson, Hunter James. Also surviving are sisters, Nora Hayden, Eleanor Michelmore and Millie Michelin as well as a brother, Francis “Frank” Learning and many nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by siblings, Arthur Forward Martin, Gladys Martin, Samson Martin, Marcella Martin, Graham Learning, Bernard Learning, Maria Learning, Ella Learning, Myra Learning and William Learning. Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, 29 Albert St., Yarmouth, where a memorial service took place at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 11; Rev. A. D. “Bill” Newell officiated. There was a visitation for one hour prior to the service.
