William 'Bill' Ferguson
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of William “Bill” Ferguson who passed away at home on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at 81 years of age.
Bill was born in Sydney Mines to the late William and Margaret (Bonnar) Ferguson.
Bill was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time out in the yard. He was also a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Sydney Mines, Br 8. He worked as a maintenance man at Harbourview Hospital for many years and in his younger days enjoyed playing darts.
Bill is survived by his wife, Miriam; daughter, Sherri Lynn as well as his sisters, Mae Dowling and Eleanor (Fred) Patterson and nieces, nephews and his four-legged baby, Holly.
Besides his parents, Bill was also predeceased by his brother, Jacob.
A graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. with Major Charlene Vincent officiating.
