The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, July 9, 2011, of William "Bill" Peter Farris of Kensington and formerly of Wilmot Valley, aged 63 years. Bill was born on Dec. 29, 1947, in Kentville, N.S., to his late parents, William and Jean (nee MacDonald) Farris. Beloved father of Jarrett (Jessica) of Summerside. Also lovingly remembered by Jarrett's mother Mary Farris, his granddaughter Kayleigh Farris, sister-in-law Dianne Farris, all of Summerside, and numerous nieces and nephews. Survived by brothers and sisters: Kathaleen (Urban) Gallant of Summerside, Lynda Farris of Clermont, John (Lynn) of Wilmot Valley, Sandy (Marvin) Stavert of Freetown, Ronnie (Donna) of Freetown, Karen (Fred) Mason of N.S. and Paul (Heather) of Summerside. Besides his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brother Elmer. Following cremation, a Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, at the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, Taylor Road, North Bedeque, at 1:30 p.m. Interment to take place in People's Cemetery, Summerside. No visiting hours by personal request. Memorial donations in Bill's memory to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Watchtower Bible Society would be greatly appreciated and may be made at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside.
