It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas (Tom) F. Fitzgerald “Fitzy” announce his passing on September 16, 2009 in Newmarket, Ontario at the age of 57 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories: his wife, Helen, sons: Wayne (Tina) and Ben (Tara); three beautiful granddaughters: Brooklyn, Kylie and Avah; sisters: Christina (Jack), Leona (Terry), Charlotte, Alice, Tena of Ontario, Mary (Gary) of Ontario, Bernice (Michael) of Ontario; brothers: Clifford of British Columbia, Michael of Ontario, Robert of Ontario; special niece, Terry Lynn of Alberta; nieces and nephews of Ontario, as well as special friend Donna. He is predeceased by his mother, father, five sisters: Emma, Peggy, Agnes, Blanche, Stella, Ellen Eliza; three brothers: Joe, Billy, Benjamin, also many other relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 20, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road. Funeral service will take place at Most Holy Redeemer, Mount Bernard Ave. on Monday, September 21, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Ambrose Hynes officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gracefully accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
