McDevitt, Lillian E., passed away on Wednesday July 6, 2011 in Saint Andrews Rest Home, Montreal, Quebec. She was the daughter of the late Charles D. and Dorothy I. McDevitt. She was born in Yarmouth on January 4, 1929, where she received her R.N. from the Dartmouth Nova Scotia Hospital. Lillian joined Trans-Canada Airline in 1953, where she retired from Air Canada in 1991 after 37 years service. Lillian enjoyed her Christmas holidays and summers in Yarmouth. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a brother Lawrence. She is survived and sadly missed by sisters Mary M. Guinan of Truro, Nova Scotia, and Catherine T. (Cassie) McDevitt of Yarmouth, brother John G. (Carol) McDevitt, of Barrie, Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 567 Main Street, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, B5A 1J6.
