Passed away on December 20, 2011 at Extendicare in Moose Jaw, SK. Nick at the age of 91, predeceased by his wife Sophie (1989) and by his brother Walter. He will be missed by his son Walter (Nicole), his daughter Julie, and his grandchildren Dustin, Michael, and Justin. Nick was born on July 20, 1920 in Pinsk, Poland (now Belarus). He fought valiantly with the Polish Regiment in the British Army in WWII, participating in The North Africa and Italian Campaign and the taking of “Monte Cassino”. After the war he immigrated to Canada where he met and married Sophie Procyk. Nick and Sophie raised their family in Moose Jaw. He worked for Bird Construction and M&M Construction until his retirement in 1985. Special thanks to Extendicare for the care and kindness shown to Nick during his time with them. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 1064 3rd Avenue NW, Moose Jaw, SK. Interment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
