The death occurred at the Whisperwood Villa on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, of Mary Murphy, wife of the late J. Oswald Murphy, formerly of Millvale, age 85 years. Mary was the beloved mother of Elaine (George) Gaudet, Leaming (Gwendy), Clair (Mary Ellen), Phyllis (Mike) Duffy, Pauline (Elliott) Sutow and John; the cherished grandmother of: Mark (Danita), Maria (Jeff) and Colin (Marie); Adam and Jill; Claire Anne (Scott), Shelly (Kent), John Michael (Julie) and Ashley; Phillip (Stephanie), Darrell (Sandi), Shanna (Martin) and Stephen (Jen); Alana and Lori-Anne (Phillip); Daniel, Eriel and Patrick; Lauren and Kyra; and Matthew (Laura) and Robyn; and great-grandmother of Jayden, Emma, Ben, Sophia, Noah, Grace, Evelynn and Kayla. She is survived by her brother, Peter (Colleen) Doyle, her son-in-law, Leo Kelly; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Oswald, she was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Adrina (Kelly) Doyle; her daughter, Sheila Kelly; her son, Bernard; grandson, Shawn Gaudet; and her sister, Kay (Athol) MacDonald. Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Friday, May 30th, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. St. Anne's C.W.L. will hold a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Hope River on Saturday, May 31, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Anne's Cemetery.
