GEORGE, EVELYNE R. “Tootsie” – 65, of Parrsboro passed away following a long illness on Thursday, January 26, 2012 at South Cumberland Community Care Centre, Parrsboro. Born in Five Islands, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Lewis) Webb. Tootsie spent many years working in various nursing homes throughout the area. She was very well known throughout the community for her home baking. She was also a member of the West Brook - Halfway River Women’s Institute. She is survived by her loving husband, Arthur; sons, Glen (Rhonda), Robert (Heather), all of Parrsboro; grandchildren, Ryan, Thaine, Courtney, Morgan, Ben, Alyssa; sisters, Shirley (Vince); Irene (Aubrey); brothers, Eddy (Ruth), Aurele (Joy), Vince (Jackie), James (Diane), Robert (Joanne); her very special friend, Dorothy “Cinderella” Harrison; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Ivan and two sisters in infancy. Visitation 6-8 p.m. today [Saturday, January 28, 2012] at Smith’s Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral 2 p.m. Sunday [January 29, 2012] at the Parrsboro Baptist Church, Rev. Greg Doyle officiating. Burial in the Harrison Settlement Cemetery.
